Prescribing Nurse Consultation
Before your anti- wrinkle treatment, you will need a consultation with our prescribing nurse. This allows the nurse to assess you, discuss your treatment and determine whether anti- wrinkle treatment is suitable for you.
The prescribing consultation fee is £25.
Please note, the £25 consultation fee is non- refundable if:

You cancel your nurse consultation with less than 48 hours notice

You fail to attend your consultation
This is because the consultation fee remains payable to the prescribing nurse. The consultation fee is deducted from your anti wrinkle treatment if you choose to proceed.
Nurse consultations are arranged directly through Sarah and cannot be booked through the online booking system.
How Do Anti Wrinkle Injections Work?
The anti-wrinkle injections work by injecting small doses of Botulin toxin A under the skin into specifically targeted areas of muscle which then blocks the nerve impulses causing the muscles to relax. That in turn, reduces the appearance of lines and eliminates wrinkles to produce a look that is fresh and more youthful. The effects will begin to appear within 2-7 days of the treatment with the maximum effect at around 2-3 weeks.
You can carry on with your daily activities right after the procedure.
Important Notes
If a top-up of botox is required then it must be administered between 2-3 weeks after initial treatment.
After care advice includes avoiding exercise for 24 hours following, and do not bend over, lie flat or push on the injections site for 4 hours.
Also, no make-up, saunas or steam rooms for 24 hours.
It is also advised that you do not take any medication that thins the blood for several days prior to your treatment as this can increases the risk of bruising.
Anti-wrinkle injections are not suitable for people who are
- You are pregnant or breast feeding
- Have hypertrophic or keloid scarring at the specific injection site
- Have active dermatosis in the injection area
- Have any active infection in treatment area
- Suffer milk allergies
- Have had periocular or ocular surgery in the last 6 months
- Uncontrolled systematic conditions
- Gross motor weakness in the treatment area i.e. stroke or bell’s palsy
- Have any sensitivity or allergies to botulinum toxins or its constituents i.e lactose sodium succinate human albumin

What is the downtime?
There is no downtime to this treatment though aftercare is advised.
Are there any side effects?
Common side effects can include; headache, minor bruising, drooping eyelid that may last 2 weeks, mild swelling/redness for up to 48 hours post treatment. Less common side effects can include; flu-like symptoms, nausea, facial pain, redness at the injection site, weakness in the muscle injected, reduced blinking.
Is the treatment painful?
An anti-wrinkle injectable are administered with a very fine needle, and takes only a few seconds. It’s a tiny prick of the needle for a moment, and most patients tolerate it very well. Several injections are given into each concerning area.
Will I see immediate results?
It can vary depending on the desired outcome so I will discuss this with you prior to carrying out the procedure. We do generally advise to wait 2 weeks for full results of the treated area.
How many needles do I need?
It varies from person to person, but you can expect to see the results within 7 -14 days as the muscle beneath the skin of the frown line relaxes.
How long do anti-wrinkle injections last?
Each person responds differently but typically speaking, anti-wrinkle injectables last between 3 to 4 months before the relaxing effect on the muscle starts to wear off.

A separate booking fee is required to secure your anti- wrinkle treatment appointment.
If you need to cancel or re schedule your treatment appointment, please give at least 48 hors notice.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice or failure to attend, will result in the treatment booking fee being retained and non- refundable.
If you cancel on the day of your appointment or fail to attend, the full treatment amount will be payable.
This treatment booking fee is seperate from the £25 prescribing nurse consultation fee, which has its own cancellation policy.
